Out of Egypt: Speaking Love and Truth to the LGBTQ+ Community
Story by Katie Bass
Please join us in prayer for Patti Height, a sister in Christ and a Calvary Chapel Magazine friend. Patti had embraced a gay, gender non-conformed identity prior to coming to Christ in 2003 at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, NJ, under the leadership of Pastor Lloyd Pulley. And now she has been a part of Calvary Chapel for the past 20 years.
This weekend on March 25th, 2023, Patti will be speaking at a university in South Carolina to minister to the LGBTQ+ community by sharing the love and truth of the Gospel.
Although she has already faced significant opposition in the form of threats and protests aimed at keeping her from speaking, we ask that the body of Christ pray for Patti to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to complete the work God has for her on this college campus.
Pray for this door to stay open, for protection, for wisdom, and, most importantly, for God to change the hearts of those who hear her words.
Patti's Mission
Patti has been walking in her freedom from bondage since the truth of God's Word opened her eyes in 2003, and she has begun to tell her story of how God rescued her from the false identity she had adopted.
In 2013 she began her ministry, Out of Egypt, to help others who are struggling with their identity and finding hope in Christ.
