Monroe, UT, hosts a parade each summer to celebrate Pioneer Day, a state holiday often called by Utahns “even more important than the Fourth of July.” Pastor Allen Widdows and his wife, Aleacia, moved from California to the small Utah town in 2018, and planted Little Green Valley Calvary Chapel there in 2020. Since then, providing lemonade and hot dogs at the parade has opened an unusual door for them to witness to Mormons there.

Soon after the tragedies of September 11, 2001, Pastor Chuck wrote this article addressing the events. It was published in Calvary Chapel Magazine Issue 9, Fall 2001. As we commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on our country, it’s good to review his thoughts at that time.
