Andy Deane grew up at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge in New Jersey and attended New York University. He lived blocks from the World Trade Center and worked in its shadow in the fall of 2001. Like many in that area of Manhattan on September 11, Andy ran toward the towers after planes crashed through their upper floors. This is his personal account.

“The View from Ground Zero” is the first part of a series of Pastor Mike MacIntosh’s recollections as a Ground Zero chaplain folllowing the 9/11 terror attacks. Mike, the founding pastor of Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego, CA, was a member of the National Disaster Response Team in 2001, and has long worked with New York Police Department personnel since the attacks.
