Please Pray for the People of Iran Amid Deadly Repression & Threats of Public Executions

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

Iranians have been quietly and secretly trained by seasoned Calvary Chapel pastors at remote locations to share the love of Jesus Christ in their beleaguered country.

What began as a local backlash to out of control prices has exploded into nationwide riots after the Islamic leadership’s violent crackdown. Years of government corruption, Sharia law, currency collapse and lost hope have exploded across the country with government buildings set ablaze. People have been seen carrying signs saying, “I’m Persian, not Muslim!” Morality police violently whip women for letting their hijab slip. This is now become a anti-Islamic Republic protest. .

The regime has responded to the outcry with mass arrests, live ammunition, night raids and the use of the fanatical Revolutionary Guard and the threat of public executions for their citizens.

While 60% of Iran’s population under 35 years of age, this generation is globally aware, digitally connected and has no memory of the 1979 revolution. Staggering price increases have made economic survival nearly impossible Their combined experiences have led them to believe there is no peaceful or political route for change—only an overthrow of the Islamic regime.

At least one of the current protestors has received the death sentence and there is fear the government might follow through to quell the backlash, which might even further inflame the situation. We lift up Iranian Erfan Soltani as he is facing imminent execution.

Please pray for the LORD’s intervention so Iranians would be free to accept the true and living GOD and His Son, Jesus Christ.
