PLEASE PRAY: Calvary Chapel & Family Mourn Loss of Beloved Senior Pastor

Senior Pastor Al Fredrich of Calvary Chapel Longview in Kelso, WA.

Senior Pastor Al Fredrich of Calvary Chapel Longview in Kelso, WA, passed away suddenly last night, May 15, leaving behind his wife of 38 years, Elaine; his three children: Deborah Mossman, Ryan Fredrich (Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Southeast Portland, OR), and Dustin Fredrich; and six grandchildren.

Life & Legacy

Pastor Al came to faith in Christ at a Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa men’s conference in Anaheim, CA, in 1989. Just weeks after he accepted the Lord, God led him to Vancouver, WA, where he served many years before being called to pastor Calvary Chapel Longview for over two decades.

Although Al’s favorite scripture was, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17), we know that he entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Please continue to keep the Fredrich family and church congregation in prayer as they grieve through this great loss and seek the Lord in how to move forward in this difficult season.
