PLEASE PRAY: Calvary Chapel Tbilisi, Georgia, Faces Eviction
For the last eight years, Calvary Chapel Tbilisi Pastor Jed Gourley and his wife, Renee, have ministered to the people of Tbilisi, Georgia, faithfully proclaiming the Gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ. Until now, they had been warmly welcomed into the community—recognized as a source of assistance, education, and godly love.
Most recently, they have been meeting in the large hall of a public school. Today, however, the school received notice from the Ministry of Education prohibiting the church from meeting in that facility. Tomorrow they meet with the school director to determine if the eviction is immediate or if they will be given a date to evacuate the premises.
Alternative meeting places are very scarce, and the church will need a venue that is large enough to continue operating their outreaches and instructive courses. Please pray for the Gourleys and CC Tbilisi as they face uncertainty regarding the events that led up to this decision—and that God will give them wisdom and discernment for this meeting so that He will be glorified in this situation.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
