Aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s Murder

We continue to lift up our nation as Charlie Kirk was martyred a very long and painful week ago for being an outspoken born-again believer in Jesus as well as a conservative. Charlie believed in and shared the truths of the Bible, foremost, while proclaiming love for our country and its Constitution. His voice for Christ was silenced on earth, yet it now echoes louder around the world. This past weekend we watched light rising against darkness—churches filled, young people surrendering to God, lives changed, people getting baptized and hearts stirred.

Charlie was murdered for having a tent revival on campuses, sharing the truth of the Bible while sharing an unbridled love and enthusiasm for our country and its foundation under God. He encouraged young men to get serious about starting a family while treating and loving their wives as Christ loved the church and laid down His life for it.

We know that righteousness cannot be legislated. Satan is full of wrath because he knows his time is short. Evil forces are encouraging susceptible people that are easily led astray. But our hope is not in politics or men, but in Jesus Christ alone—the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

REVIVAL! … Let that word ring out across our country and into foreign lands. LORD, let this moment of sorrow not be wasted. LORD, please pour out Your Spirit on our nation. Strengthen our pastors, embolden believers, and draw many to salvation. We pray that churches and their pastors will not shrink away from the challenges that lay ahead.

Ignite revival in our universities and high schools. May Charlie’s sacrifice be a spark for a great awakening, bringing eternal life to countless souls.

Please help us, LORD, to smother our rising bitterness as people celebrate Charlie’s murder, knowing that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).

We pray that you would open their eyes to the sweet truth of salvation through Jesus Christ. LORD, until the day of Your return, help us to be faithful witnesses, shining Your light in the midst of darkness.

For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen Romans 16:19-20.
