Please join Calvary Chapel Magazine in praying for those affected by Hurricane Ida, including the Calvary Chapel churches that are involved in relief and recovery efforts.

Hurricane Ida came ashore as a Category 4 storm with 150-mph winds near Port Fourchon, LA, on Sunday, August 29, 16 years to the day that Hurricane Katrina made landfall and devastated the city of New Orleans.

Remnants of Ida have caused devastating flooding and spawned tornadoes across its inland track, particularly in the Northeast, with 39 deaths to date and more than $15 billion in damages.

Lenny Richard cuts through debris in his destroyed home in Houma. Houma is the largest city in, and the parish seat of, Terrebonne Parish in the state of Louisiana.

Please pray for the protection of recovery crews and linemen attempting to restore electricity to affected areas as floodwaters begin to recede.

Please pray for those who have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or otherwise have been impacted by the devastation of this storm.

Please pray that relief efforts are able to reach those in need of food, water, and shelter.
