America at a Crossroads

Pray for the Election of Godly Leaders and Preservation of Our Judeo-Christian Values

Tomorrow’s midterm elections, November 3, 2026, could shape our country for years to come. In a recent article marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Calvary Chapel Pastor Mike MacIntosh voiced a stark concern: “People who celebrated the towers coming down are now in authority in New York City.” His warning underscores the importance of examining candidates’ beliefs, records, and character. The choices voters make tomorrow could have lasting consequences for our nation’s future.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29:2

Pray that righteousness will prevail and that men and women of godly character will be elected—even where pollsters predict otherwise. Pray for leaders who love our country, honor its Constitution, and uphold the Judeo-Christian values that helped shape its founding.

Each generation has a responsibility to correct past wrongs and build on what is good. Pray for wisdom to recognize the difference between reforms that strengthen our constitutional republic and changes that undermine its freedoms. May those elected serve with integrity, protect life, and seek the good of the people they represent.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34

In Nevada, Calvary Chapel Reno-Sparks and many other churches oppose Question 6, a ballot initiative that would establish a constitutional right to abortion and limit the ability of state and local governments to restrict it.

Nevada already permits abortion through 24 weeks and afterward when necessary to preserve the mother’s life or health. Question 6 would add constitutional protections for abortion until fetal viability and afterward under the life-or-health exception. Voters approved the measure in 2024; it must pass again tomorrow to become part of Nevada’s Constitution.

Please pray that the Lord will move powerfully in tomorrow’s elections, protect unborn lives, and bring results that defy pollsters’ predictions nationwide.

Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8–9
