Bringing the Gospel & Practical Aid to the Philippines

Several Calvary Chapels from California have spent two weeks encouraging other CC fellowships in the Philippines. Gerry Brown, senior pastor of CC Romoland and founder of U-Turn for Christ, led the annual mission trip. Initially starting as an orphanage 20 years ago, Gerry helped to set up a church in the Philippines. That has grown into nine different CC fellowships and one Bible College.

The team came from CC Romoland, Calvary Chapel Revival in San Dimas, and Calvary Chapel Monrovia. During the outreach, they checked on the churches, encouraged the pastors, and helped lead a Vacation Bible School. Other outreach included honoring and thanking law enforcement officers and meeting the practical needs of the poor on islands—sharing toys, food, student backpacks, and the Gospel.
