Please Pray: Those Impacted By Massive Snow And Ice Storm
Over the past several days, a historic winter storm swept across the heart of the United States, leaving a trail of snow, ice, power outages, and dangerous travel conditions that have affected tens of millions of people. The impact has been extraordinary in both size and severity, stretching from the southern Plains and Deep South through the Midwest and now into the East Coast.
The Deep South has been among the hardest hit by this winter storm, with rare and dangerous ice affecting Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Freezing rain brought widespread power outages, impassable roads, and closures across communities unaccustomed to prolonged cold. Please pray for families without heat, for first responders, utility crews, and emergency workers laboring in dangerous conditions over long periods of time.
Calvary Chapels in the storm’s path wisely canceled services yesterday for safety. Yet, as we learned during the COVID shutdowns, the absence of fellowship can be deeply challenging—especially for those whose closest family connections are found within the church. Please pray for their comfort, encouragement, and well-being during this season of isolation.
