Please Pray: Severe Weather Expected in Tampa Bay Ahead of System Likely to be Major Hurricane

Please pray for Calvary Chapels and residents on the western side of Florida as Hurricane Helene bears down on the St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Sarasota areas and will push up into Georgia and Alabama, bringing heavy rains, flooding, and potential tornado activity. News outlets are predicting major storm surge that could become a Category 4 hurricane before making landfall late on Thursday. Meteorologists fear the Helene could bring storm surges 15-20 where single-story buildings along the coast may be completely underwater. Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued to all barrier islands and flood-prone areas. Forecasters predict winds sustained between 130-135 mph with gusts up to 150 mph with the massive storm.
