Since April, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale has partnered with the City of Fort Lauderdale, Feeding South Florida (a local non-profit organization that provides meals for those in need), and other local churches to pass out food for more than 1,000 people on designated days throughout each month.
“Cars pass through our parking lot, trunks open, ready to receive provisions for their basic needs,” said Stephanie Gunderson, director of outreach ministry at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.
In early December, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale joined Riverside Church for the latest installment of the initiative, aimed at helping South Floridians who are struggling to make ends meet during the Coronavirus pandemic.
