As the summer begins, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills once more staged a large-scale baptism at Corona del Mar. This is just another part of the church’s efforts to be spiritually active in their community as the day of the Lord draws near.

The event was a massive effort, with participation surpassing their last baptism by hundreds. Well over 1,200 arrived to be baptized. The event, held on June 26th, was attended by thousands who have flocked to the church over the past year and overlookers who joined at the spur of the moment.
Those who took the baptism class took part in a moment that Calvary CCH heralds as one of the most important events of the year. The event started at 9 a.m. in the morning, led by Pastor Jack Hibbs giving a word of prayer before he and the pastoral staff began baptizing those waiting on the shore.
Those who do not attend the church were welcomed to join in the baptisms after a brief word with a pastor. The morning passed swiftly, with baptisms being performed past 12 p.m. The massive turnout is an encouragement not only for Calvary CCH, but also for the church at large, signaling that the Lord is working spiritual revival in the community of Southern California.
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4
